• Why measure correctly?

Getting accurate measurements saves time and ensures the pre-filter fits snugly and protects your engine. A quick measurement now prevents returns and guarantees the best performance.

  • Tools you’ll need

Tape measure or ruler (inches), calipers (recommended for accuracy), a pen or phone to record dimensions, and a camera or phone to take a reference photo.

How to format your measurements?

Please send measurements in this order: Top Diameter" x "Base Diameter" x Height"

Example: 4.0"(top diameter) × 6.0"(base diameter) × 5.0"(height)

Round

A classic circular filter with the same diameter top-to-bottom.

What to measure:

  1. Top diameter (A): Measure across the widest point of the top opening (inside edge to inside edge if you want internal fit).
  2. Height (H): Measure from the base to the top edge (vertical).

Example: 3" × 2.5"

Round Taper

A circular filter that narrows (or widens) from base to top.

What to measure:

  1. Top diameter (A): widest top opening at the rim.
  2. Height (H): vertical distance from bottom edge to top edge.
  3. Base diameter (B): diameter at the bottom where it sits on the intake flange.

Example: 2" × 3.5" × 5"

Oval

An elongated rounded shape with parallel sides.

What to measure:

1. Top (Width x Length)

Top width (W): shortest diameter across the narrow side (inside edge to inside edge).
Top length (L): longest diameter across the long side.

2. Height (H): vertical height.

3. Base (Width x Length): measure base dimensions if they differ. If base matches top, note that.

Oval Taper

An oval filter that changes in size between base and top.

What to measure

  1. Top width & length (W × L).
  2. Height (H).
  3. Base width & length (BW × BL).
